Program Cancellations and Service Disruptions

Please be advised that the indoor tennis courts at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation 
Complex will be closed from Monday, October 19, 2026 until Friday, November 6, 2026, for concrete 
crack and surfacing repairs. 

8th Concession Road will be closed between Sideline 2 and Sideline 6 for the replacement of a cross 
culvert. To facilitate this work, a full road closure will be required daily from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. 
Emergency Services and property owners from 3000 8th Concession Road to 3050 8th Concession 
Road will have access from Balsam Road.   

Temporary Rotating Sidewalk Closure - East Side and West Side of Liverpool Road, between Pickering Parkway and Bayly Street.

Temporary road and west sidewalk closure of Glenanna Road from Pickering Parkway to the south limit of The Esplanade South. Both vehicle and pedestrian detours have been provided, and all applicable signage will be posted.

Tatra Drive will be closed to through traffic from 1389 to 1401 and Poprad Avenue will be closed to  
through traffic from 1366 to 1378 for the replacement of backyard hydro poles. Access for local traffic 
and emergency services will be maintained throughout the duration of the work.  

The City of Pickering’s contractor, Four Seasons Site Development Ltd. (Quotation No. Q2026-32), will be undertaking asphalt resurfacing work on Third Concession Road from Altona Road to Rosebank Road starting October 17, 2026. Anticipated completion date is November 17, 2026.

Holiday Operating Hours at City facilities for Thanksgiving: Monday, October 12, 2026.

The Regional Municipality of Durham has hired D Rock Paving to complete crosswalk installation and pavement works at the intersection on Westney Road and Concession Road 6 in the City of Pickering.

Temporary Traffic Disruption – Whitevale Road from Golf Club Road to Altona Road and North Road from Whitevale Road to 70 meters north of Churchwin Street.
