Bruce Handscomb Memorial Park - 2025 Dragon Boat Challenge Event
The City of Pickering will be installing temporary parking restrictions and establishing a pick-up and drop-off zone on a portion of Breezy Drive fronting Bruce Handscomb Memorial Park and placing parking restrictions on one side of Elvira Court.

May 5, 2025 – The City of Pickering’s seasonal waterfront parking program is now in effect, and will run annually from May 1 to October 1. The program helps manage high visitor volumes and traffic congestion at popular waterfront destinations by balancing access for residents and visitors.
April 30, 2025 - The City of Pickering is excited to present Hip-Hop in the Park on Saturday May 3, at the Diana, Princess of Wales Park located behind the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex. This free, family-friendly event will be a celebration of music, dance, graffiti art, and community, featuring live performances, energetic dance battles, and a variety of interactive activities for all ages.
From Wednesday, April 30, 2025 to Wednesday, July 31, 2025 the road will be closed for installation of a new watermain, sanitary sewer and storm sewer.
All swim programs, lane swim and public swim will be cancelled at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex Pool on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, 2025 inclusive for a swim meet.
